Young Adults

You Are Invited!

image placeholderThe young adults at DHUMC are a vibrant group of folks who are striving to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in our world. Some of us are in college or have just graduated college, some of us have full time work or are unemployed, some of us have families with young kids or are single. We bring diverse experiences and backgrounds to our community. And we come together as young adults at DHUMC to practice:

Companionship. We spend time building relationships with one another. This happens on a regular basis as we plan picnics, parties, hikes in the mountains, study groups, sharing food with our neighbors and other activities!

Hospitality. We strive to welcome others in all that we do; in our homes, on outings, and in serving our neighbors and building relationships with those who live in our community but may not be a part of our church.

Justice. Through study and action we seek out ways to practice God’s justice in our world. Practicing justice can look like sharing our gifts through cooking and serving meals with folks who are hungry or marching in parades that promote the dignity and humanity of all human beings. This year we begin a study series on the gospel of Luke as we discern and practice ways to live faithfully in our world.

So come join us! And come as you are!

If you would like more information or are interested in participating with our young adult group, contact Katie Aikins or Julia Alexander.
