2008 Softball Recruiting
As the newly appointed ‘General Manager’ of the DHUMC Softball team, I would like to extend an offer to anyone and everyone interested in playing softball this summer! I’ll give you a few general details about the league and our team. Please let me know if you think you can play so that I can start creating a roster and figure out if we have enough people to field a team.
We will be playing in the Decatur First Baptist league which plays at their church on the corner of Commerce and Clairmont right in Decatur. Games generally are Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings and I believe they have changed the times of the games to 7ish and 8ish. There will be a fee* to play, but hopefully not too high to break the bank. I have heard that we might be starting around the middle of May, so break out those cleats and gloves and make sure that all your equipment is in working order.
In past years our team has been quite good, but our ultimate goal is to have fun and not get hurt!! It’s always nice to win a few games though. 
We welcome any experience/skill level and have many people who are good teachers on the team if you need a little extra help with anything.
*We always need more women!!! If you have female friends that would like to play we will joyfully welcome them (and we’ll welcome male friends too).
That being said, let me know ASAP if you would like to be part of the DHUMC softball team and I will try to get more specific information on when the season starts up.
