Globalization Study

From Peter :

Globalization: What is it?

How does it affect us? How do we participate in it? Is it good? Is it bad? Is it inevitable?

April 2 and April 16, 6:00; dinner; 6:30-8:30 program

Join us for a two-session program on Globalization and Its Impact On Our Lives. Led by Druid Hills UMC member Bob Moore, we will review some of the causes and consequences of globalization, look at the impact of globalization on life in Atlanta, and discuss its impact on people, economies and the environment in developing countries. We will cover, as time permits, topics such as child labor, ethical trade, growth, change, and income inequality. Bob’s colleague, Paul Kagundu, originally from Uganda, and an economist now on the faculty at GA State, will join Bob to lead the second session, bringing an important perspective to our discussion.

Please make your reservations for dinner and the class by calling the church office 404-373-6481 or emailing: richard@druidhillsumc.org
